On the one hand, I'm glad they don't make a lot of RPGs with photos like this on the cover. On the other hand, I love this cover.

I am in total disagreement here. I DEMAND more photo covers! It gives people something attainable to aspire to; "Go ahead, TRY and be cooler than this fat guy dressed like a seductive female barmaid!"

ReplyDeleteSpeaking of photos, I miss the Games Workshop tradition of including photos of supplement authors in the books. Nothing humbles a game writer more effectively than a mug-shot!
On the other hand, that old photo of Sandy Petersen in CoC was downright eerie in a hokey way, what with the campfire-flashlight thing going on. :)
With this cover, you've managed to make me nostalgic about both tabletop D&D and my old LARP group...
